Raised in Bristol at Easton Community Centre gets a make-over from Tozer Signs

It’s hard to walk through Bristol without spotting the work of sign writer and muralist Tozer Signs – from the facade of your local coffee shop, to A-boards outside the pub, to large scale murals across the city – Tozer’s work has become a well-known sight not just locally but further afield to London and Bath as well as internationally.

At Raised In working with local companies and suppliers is an important part of our ethos and in doing so we help to create a circular economy in Bristol – supporting local (as one of Tozer’s well known mural states ‘Love local, or loose local’) independent businesses like ours..

Sign writing is an important creative tradition which in recent years has had a resurgence as people move back to appreciating the beauty in the craft and with designs that stand the test of time, over cheaper alternatives such as vinyl and channel lettering. Sign writing offers a higher quality, slower, more eco-friendly choice over options like vinyl, with less plastic and less wastage involved in the process – something else very important to us as a social enterprise wanting to minimise our environmental impact.

We were very excited to work with Tozer on a project to revamp the entrance to Raised in Bristol at Easton Community Centre – giving the nursery doors and signage a beautiful make-over to better reflect the nursery space inside. Tozer has painted a mural with our Raised in Bristol ‘Where future’s flourish motto’ and brand shapes topped with a hand painted sign above the door welcoming families old and new to the nursery. We’re so pleased with the final result!

If you’d like to see more of Tozer Sign’s work check out their website and give them a follow on socials.
